The fourth round of the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 group stage, on Tuesday, February 17, ended in defeats for FaZe Clan, B8, and HEROIC, bringing their campaign in Romania to an end.

With the defeats, B8, FaZe Clan, and HEROIC join paiN Gaming and 3DMAX as the first group of teams to be sent home from the third S-Tier Counter-Strike 2 tournament of the season.

B8 were sent packing by Aurora Gaming, who handed them their third loss of the tournament.

Despite the bitter ending, B8 have shown some signs of life. They started the event with a loss against FURIA but bounced back with a 2-0 sweep of HEROIC to secure a spot in round three mid-matches.

There, B8 clashed with the MongolZ and gave them a run for their money, producing a tightly contested series. However, the Mongolian squad managed to squeeze past with a 17-19 overtime loss on Nuke.

Like their defeat to The MongolZ, B8’s loss against Aurora came down to the smallest of margins. It ended with 10-13 on Overpass and 13-16 on Mirage.

For FaZe Clan, the elimination marks another disappointing result in what has proven to be a tough start to the season for the StarLadder Budapest Major finalists.

They exited BLAST Bounty Winter in last place and crashed out of Intel Extreme Masters Krakow in ninth-12th.

Their campaign in Romania started with a victory against HEROIC. However, Finn “karrigan” Andersen and his crew failed to gain any momentum and dropped the next three series against Team Falcons, PARIVISION, and Astralis on Tuesday.

HEROIC have had a turbulent start to the season. After a promising display at BLAST Bounty Winter, where HEROIC placed top eight, they exited IEM Krakow in last place. And they hardly improved on that at PGL Cluj-Napoca.

Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard and co. lost their first two fixtures of the tournament against FaZe Clan and B8 and bounced back by beating 3DMAX.

However, HEROIC could not make it past G2 Esports, who proved too strong on Mirage and Ancient, winning with 13-6 and 13-9.

Meanwhile, MOUZ, FURIA, and The MongolZ won their Tuesday fixtures and joined Team Falcons and Team Vitality in the playoffs.

The final round of PGL Cluj-Napoca group stage is set for Wednesday, when FUT Esports, Natus Vincere, PARIVISION, Astralis, Aurora Gaming, and G2 Esports will battle it out for the final three playoff spots.

According to the leading CS2 betting sites, Aurora Gaming, FUT Esports, and G2 Esports are favored to win and proceed to the knockout stage.
