The Danes continue to make changes to their Counter-Strike side after a disappointing run at the Austin Major.
HEROIC have announced the arrival of Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin, bringing their Counter-Strike 2 lineup to four members amid another roster rebuild.
The 19-year-old Aurora Gaming Academy graduate will take over for Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia, who, alongside coach Eetu “sAw” Saha, departed for G2 Esports earlier this month.
Although he has no experience competing in the upper echelons of Counter-Strike esports, gr1ks has made a name for himself as one of the most promising young players on the scene.
The Belarusian joined Aurora Young Blud in May 2024 and was added to the main lineup at the end of the year.
With Aurora Gaming, the young AWPer won a couple of lesser tournaments, including European Pro League Season 22 and Galaxy Battle 2025 // STARTER, while averaging a 1.19 performance rating.
When Aurora made a shock move by acquiring the entire Eternal Fire roster in April this year, gr1ks and all of his teammates were left without a team and continued competing together under the name Astrum.
Under Astrum, gr1ks continued posting impressive figures. He averaged the team’s highest performance rating (1.17) in that time, while he went at 1.07 during Astrum’s title run at YaLLa Compass Spring 2025.
By adding gr1ks, HEROIC are close to completing their new CS2 lineup, having recently acquired coach Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo from MOUZ NXT.
With substitute rifler Linus “nilo” Bergman yet to feature since arriving from Metizport in January, the Danish side may well look to add another player before returning to action at FISSURE Playground #1 — scheduled to begin on July 15.
