G2 Esports have confirmed the signing of Polish AWPer Olek “hades” Miskiewicz to their Counter-Strike 2 roster on a short-term loan from Monte.

The 25-year-old will step in for Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov following his high-profile transfer to Falcons.

The deal will see hades remain with G2 until the end of June, covering a crucial stretch of the calendar that includes the PGL Astana event, IEM Dallas, and the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

The move gives G2 time to assess long-term options for their AWP role during the summer break.

“Really happy to announce that I’ve joined G2,” hades posted on X.

“Grateful for the opportunity and I will do my best to make the most out of it.”

Hades reunites with veteran rifler Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski in this stint, the pair having previously played together at ENCE during their runner-up finish at IEM Dallas 2022.

They also briefly linked up in ex-Finest later that year.

The Polish sniper arrives after a solid 10-month spell with Monte, where he averaged a 1.10 rating and helped the team reach the semifinals of ESL Challenger Katowice 2024.

Monte underwent a significant roster reshuffle earlier this month, parting ways with hades as they brought in French duo Ali “hAdji” Ainus and Aurélien “afro” Drapier.

Hades brings experience from multiple international campaigns, including four Major appearances and a career peak with ENCE in 2022 that saw the team rise to No. 2 in the HLTV rankings.

That year, ENCE claimed second place finishes at both IEM Dallas and ESL Pro League, as well as a top-four showing at the PGL Major Antwerp.

Replacing m0NESY—ranked the world’s second-best player in 2024—is no small task, but hades’ pedigree and proven consistency make him a strong stopgap as G2 recalibrates for the upcoming Major.
