Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas has officially parted ways with G2 Esports, ending the coach’s 18-month stint with the European Counter-Strike 2 team.

TaZ arrived at G2 Esports in December 2023 as a replacement for Jan “Swani” Müller despite having no previous coaching experience.

It marked the Counter-Strike legend’s return to the pro scene for the first time since March 2023, when he left HONORIS at the end of a 20-year playing career.

While at G2 Esports, TaZ won Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024 and two BLAST Premier trophies at Fall Final 2024 and World Final 2024.

Besides collecting three S-Tier titles, the Pole helped G2 reach back-to-back Major semifinals at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 and Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

However, after starting the year strong with a semifinal run at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, the result have dried up for TaZ and G2.

They have failed to win a single title in 2025, managing just one more noteworthy tournament placement — runner-up at PGL Bucharest.

More recently, TaZ’s men crashed out early at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, missing the playoffs after a 0-2 loss to The MongolZ in round five of the third stage.

Taking over from TaZ as G2’s coach is Eetu “sAw” Saha, who left HEROIC earlier this week.

The Finnish tactician’s arrival coincides with the signing of AWPer Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia, who replaces Aleksander “hades” Miśkiewicz after the conclusion of the Polish player’s loan spell.

G2 Esports will debut their new coach at the end of July at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2025, where they received a direct invite to the group stage.
