Fnatic announced that Johannes “b0RUP” Borup will stand in for Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson for the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major cycle.
In the announcement, Fnatic also revealed that the 30-year-old stepped down from the active Counter-Strike 2 roster due to personal reasons.
It was added that in the coming months, KRIMZ’s future with the CS2 lineup will be evaluated, suggesting that the veteran player might move away from the active roster and make room for new arrivals.
Due to personal reasons, Freddy "@Krimz" Johansson will unfortunately not be competing for us in the upcoming Major cycle, including the European Regional Qualifier kicking off next week.

The news comes after a rough run for the long-standing member.
He has averaged a 0.94 performance rating since the turn of the year, which is far below KRIMZ’s average of 1.06 since he rejoined Fnatic in October 2016.
Although rough performances were not stated as the reason for the roster change, Fnatic turned to B0RUP, who was last seen competing with WildLotus.
The 25-year-old, who made his professional debut in 2015, has been bouncing between teams over the last 10 years and has never spent more than a season with any of the squads he was a part of.
B0RUP’s most notable stops included Astralis and HEROIC, with whom he won ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online – Europe and DreamHack Open Fall 2020.
Since leaving Astralis at the end of the CS:GO era, the Dane has not featured in any significant events.
By joining Fnatic, B0RUP will reunite with Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and coach Peter “casle” Ardenskjold, who he played alongside during his stay at Astralis.
The roster change comes just three days before the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025: European Regional Qualifier kick-off.
The qualifier will start on April 14, with 16 Counter-Strike teams in attendance and six Major tickets on the line.
Besides Fnatic, the EU Major qualifiers will also feature other notable names in Astralis, GamerLegion, SAW, BC.Game Esports, HEROIC, BIG, OG, 500, B8, Nemiga Gaming, BetBoom Team, PARIVISION, 9Pandas, ENCE, and Metizport.
