FISSURE Playground #1 CS2 News

The playoff bracket is set for FISSURE Playground #1, with the Serbian Counter-Strike 2 event heating up as eight teams prepare to battle it out for their share of a US$1,000,000 prize pool, with US$290,000 going to the champion.

Chinese outfit TYLOO have been one of the surprise stories of the group stage, going undefeated in Group C despite playing with their coach, Zhong “zhokiNg” Weijie, in place of regular member Ji “Jee” Dongkai. Wins over Virtus.pro and Astralis earned them a quarterfinal berth, where they’ll meet an in-form 3DMAX side fresh off victories against Rare Atom and paiN Gaming.

Joining them in the top half of the bracket are SAW and Complexity. The Portuguese side made a strong statement with two wins over pre-tournament esports betting sites favourites, FURIA. They’ll take on Complexity, who booked their playoff ticket with hard-fought victories over BIG and BetBoom Team.

Meanwhile, Astralis rebounded from a loss to TYLOO by defeating MIBR twice to progress. They’ll now clash with Chinese squad Lynn Vision, who made a strong case for themselves in Group D, where they finished undefeated after victories over 3DMAX and paiN.

The final quarterfinal pits GamerLegion against BetBoom. Both teams recently debuted new AWPers — Jeremy “Kursy” Gast for GamerLegion and Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov for BetBoom — adding an extra layer of intrigue to this showdown.

All playoff matches are best-of-three, except the grand final, which will be best-of-five.
