Day 3 of the CrossFire Esports World Cup proved pivotal for the remaining teams in the group stage, with four elimination matches deciding their fate.

KINGZERO-Esports, ROC Esports, BaiSha Gaming, and Team Stallions all claimed crucial wins to advance to the quarterfinals, joining Al Qadsiah, Qing Jiu Club, Evolution Power, and AG.AL in the knockout stage.

Thursday’s action at the Counter-Strike 2 Esports World Cup featured the final two Round of 16 matchups and the first two quarterfinals, headlined by Team Falcons’ impressive win over G2 Esports. That victory ensured the Saudi-backed organization retained their Club Championship crown.

On the top half of the bracket, Team Vitality and The MongolZ punched their tickets to the semifinals. Both squads will enjoy a day off Friday as the remaining two quarterfinal clashes in the lower half of the bracket take center stage.

The first phase of the Street Fighter 6 Esports World Cup wrapped up on Thursday, with 12 players booking their spots in the second stage. Each of the eight groups played two matches, eliminating two competitors and sending the decider-match winners through.

The second phase begins Friday with four groups of three in a round-robin format. The top player from each group will advance to Saturday’s playoff bracket.
