The second day of Week Six at the 2025 Esports World Cup featured two titles, as PUBG kicked off on Tuesday, joining Teamfight Tactics in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With two of the four titles already underway, Tekken 8 and Rocket League will join the action in the coming days.

Although most esports betting sites currently offer limited markets for PUBG and TFT, more options are expected to become available for the Tekken 8 and Rocket League EWC tournaments.


The second day of the Teamfight Tactics Esports World Cup produced the first four playoff teams as the elimination and winners matches took place in each of the four groups.

Weibo Gaming, AEGIS, Citadel Gaming, and Wolves Esports secured their spots in the playoffs after victories in the winners’ matches. Meanwhile, Al Qadsiah, Team Falcons, Fnatic, and Team Liquid were eliminated after losing their elimination matches.

Below are the remaining group stage series, which will be held on Wednesday, August 13.

Group A: Team Vitality vs T1

Group C: Twisted Minds vs Flash Wolves

Group D: EVOS Esports vs ROC Esports

Day 2 results

Group A

  • T1 defeated Al Qadsiah 2-0 – Al Qadsiah were eliminated
  • Weibo Gaming defeated Team Vitality 2-0 – Weibo Gaming advanced to playoffs

Group B

  • AEGIS defeated Virtus.pro 2-1 – AEGIS advanced to playoffs
  • MOUZ defeated Team Falcons 2-1 – Team Falcons were eliminated

Group C

  • Flash Wolves defeated Fnatic 2-0 – Fnatic were eliminated
  • Citadel Gaming defeated Twisted Minds 2-0 – Citadel Gaming advanced to playoffs

Group D

  • Wolves Esports defeated EVOS Esports 2-0 – Wolves Esports advanced to playoffs
  • ROC Esports defeated Team Liquid 2-1 – Team Liquid were eliminated

The PUBG Esports World Cup kicked off on Tuesday, with Groups A and B battling through six matches across the day. In a highly competitive opening, six different teams each claimed a “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.”

ROCS Esports leads the standings with 63 points, followed by Gen.G Esports in second on 54. T1 and Team Falcons are tied for third place with 49 points apiece.

For the second year in a row, Tekken 8 will return to the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, as 32 of the world’s best players compete for a US$1,000,000 prize pool from August 13–16. Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon will look to defend his title for Freecs; however, plenty of challengers are expected to make a strong impact throughout the event.
