The second day of week five at the 2025 Esports World Cup featured Rainbow Six Siege and Call of Duty Warzone on Wednesday, August 6. The CoD Warzone EWC tournament kicked off on Wednesday, while the R6S EWC group stage wrapped up and will head into the playoffs on Thursday.

With four playoff spots up for grabs in the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup, Wednesday featured four do-or-die lower bracket semifinal matches.
Following the series’, Weibo Gaming, G2 Esports, Spacestation Gaming and FURIA Esports qualified for the playoffs. Meanwhile, DarkZero Esports, FaZe Clan, Oxygen Esports and w7m esports were eliminated from the tournament in ninth-12th place.

The third and final esports title to kick off in week five at the Esports World Cup will be EA Sports FC. The US$1 million FC Pro 25 World Championship will begin on Thursday, August 7, as 32 of the world’s best EA Sports FC players compete in a three-day tournament, with the winner taking home the US$250,000 first-place prize and 1,000 Club Championship points.
