The fifth week of the 2025 Esports World Cup kicked off on Tuesday, August 5, with the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Heading into Wednesday, the Call of Duty Warzone Esports World Cup will commence, with the first of the two-day group stage being held.

The opening day of the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup group stage featured 16 matches, with each of the 16 squads playing two games inside the Qiddiya Arena.
Following victories in the upper bracket semifinals of Groups A and B, Shopify Rebellion, Virtus.pro, Team Secret and Ninjas in Pyjamas advanced to the playoffs. Meanwhile, Gen.G Esports, FEARX, ENTERPRISE Esports and reigning EWC champions, Team Falcons, were eliminated.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, the second of the Call of Duty events will begin, with the world’s best Warzone squads competing over four days of competition. The 21 teams will battle for the lion’s share of the US$1,000,000 prize pool. The winner will take home the US$250,000 first-place prize and 1,000 Club Championship points.
