VALORANT Esports World Cup

The VALORANT Esports World Cup was the first to begin, with eight best-of-one matches followed by four best-of-three series. Following the first day of action, VALORANT Masters Toronto champions, Paper Rex, headlined the playoff-bound teams, which included BBL Esports, NRG and Fnatic.

• Gen.G defeated EDward Gaming 13-4
• Winners match: Fnatic defeated Gen.G 2-0 (15-13, 13-7)

Dota 2 Esports World Cup

Unlike the VALORANT EWC, there were no dominant teams in the Dota 2 Esports World Cup, with two of the four groups featuring four drawn matches. Meanwhile in Groups C and D, Aurora Gaming, Tundra Esports, PARIVISION and Team Liquid claimed opening round wins.

• Team Liquid defeated Shopify Rebellion 2-0

Rennsport Esports World Cup

The final event to start on the opening day was the Rennsport Esports World Cup. The Last Chance Stage featured two groups of three teams competing in three races, with Team Vitality and MOUZ taking top honours, as they claimed five wins in the six total races.

Mercedes-AMG Esports Team MSI scored the least amount of points in the Last Chance Stage and were eliminated in ninth place, leaving Atlassian Williams Sim Racing, Team Falcons and BS+COMPETITION to clash in the Race-Off.

With only one team advancing to the Group Stage, Williams secured the top spot with 39 points, five more than Team Falcons (34) and eight more than BS+COMPETITION (31).
