The Esports World Cup 2025 StarCraft II semifinals are set in Riyadh after a thrilling day of quarterfinals that narrowed the $700,000 Legacy of the Void event to its final four contenders.

Finland’s Joona “Serral” Sotala will take on South Korea’s Kim “Cure” Doh-wook in one semifinal, while Kang “Solar” Min-soo faces Kim “Classic” Doh-woo in an all-Korean clash on Friday.

Serral booked his place with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Italy’s Riccardo “Reynor” Romiti, while Cure stunned Terran powerhouse Cho “Maru” Seong-ju 3–1 to advance.

In the lower half of the bracket, Solar swept Protoss ace Kim “herO” Joon-ho 3–0, and Classic followed with a dominant 3–0 win against French Terran Clément “Clem” Desplanches, ensuring three of the four semifinalists hail from South Korea and guaranteeing at least one Korean in the grand final.

The semifinal schedule opens with Serral vs Cure at 2:00 PM Riyadh time, followed by Solar vs Classic at 4:00 PM.

According to leading esports betting sites, Serral is a heavy favorite at -500 odds, while Cure sits at +305 to pull off another upset.

The second semi is tipped to be closer, with Classic currently at -136.99 and Solar offering +101 with BetOnline.

Winners will move on to the best‑of‑nine grand final at 8:30 PM AST, where $200,000 and the Esports World Cup trophy await, while the third‑place playoff is set for 6:30 PM earlier in the evening.
