ESL Pro League S22 quarter final tips - Counter Strike predictions October 10

Only eight Counter-Strike 2 teams remain in the race for the ESL Pro League Season 22, which enters the knockout stage on Friday, October 10.

The day kicks off with a clash between 3DMAX and Team Falcons, followed by an equally exciting match between MOUZ and Natus Vincere. The surging FaZe Clan will face off against Team Spirit in the penultimate game ahead of the year’s first meeting between FURIA and Team Vitality.

3DMAX v Falcons

3DMAX +400 @ BetOnline | Falcons -714.29 @ BetOnline

3DMAX have accomplished the unthinkable and have made it through both stages to reach the playoffs. While they didn’t have to face any fierce opponents in Stage 1, the French squad impressed with their victories against FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, and G2 Esports in Stage 2, proving they can hang with the best.

Team Falcons completed Stage 2 with a flawless record, taking down Astralis, NAVI, and MOUZ. The latter was a competitive game, but even then, the Falcons never looked in real danger of losing.

3DMAX have done well to make it this far, and they have a much better win rate on Inferno (73% vs 43%) than Falcons. While this will not be enough for an upset, 3DMAX are in a solid position to leave a dent.

Mouz v Natus Vincere

MOUZ -200 @ BetOnline | NaVi +150 @ BetOnline

MOUZ and Natus Vincere last met during Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2025, when MOUZ won 2-0. The rematch this Friday is expected to end similarly, as the top Counter-Strike 2 betting sites have MOUZ priced as $1.50 favorites.

Natus Vincere fought their way through Stage 2 with losses against Team Falcons and 3DMAX, and wins against Aurora Gaming, HOTU, and The MongolZ. Seeing NAVI sweep MongolZ should inspire confidence that they can hold their own against another elite team. However, MongolZ have looked weak at ESL Pro League S22, so the victory should be taken with a grain of salt.

MOUZ have a deeper map pool, with a better win rate on Mirage (60% vs 50%), Inferno (73% vs 64%), and Overpass (60% vs 0%). NAVI, on the other hand, do better on Dust2 (67% vs 0%), Nuke (57% vs 50%), and Ancient (45% vs 38%). The differences are marginal for most maps.

This is MOUZ’s game to lose, but Natus Vincere, in their current shape, can force a close match.

FURIA v Team Vitality

FURIA +200 @ BetOnline | TV -277.78 @ BetOnline

As pre-tournament favorites, Team Vitality hit a small bump in the road in Stage 2, when they had to admit defeat to Gentle Mates in the first round. Since then, they’ve disposed of GamerLegion, G2 Esports, and HOTU without dropping a map.

FURIA have also managed a 3-1 record, with one loss to G2 Esports, and victories against 3DMAX, Inner Circle Esports, and Aurora Gaming.

Results-wise, both teams have looked solid. Vitality have individually performed better, namely William “mezii” Merriman, Robin “ropz” Kool, and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut at 1.33, 1.25, and 1.24 performance ratings. However, FURIA have Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato and Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis firing on all cylinders, averaging 1.35 and 1.22.

This match is likely going to be much closer than what the latest odds suggest. It is Vitality’s game to lose, but FURIA can do damage.

Team Spirit v Faze Clan

Team Spirit -454.55 @ BetOnline | Faze Clan +300 @ BetOnline

FaZe Clan kicked off ESL Pro League Season 22 with a forced forfeit against G2 Esports due to fielding an ineligible roster. Things did not get any better in the second round, when they had to admit defeat to 3DMAX. However, FaZe still managed to fight their way into the playoffs with victories against Astralis, Inner Circle, and Aurora Gaming, showing good form.

Team Spirit’s road through Stage 2 was much smoother, with three victories against Inner Circle, HOTU, and G2 Esports. But as impressive as that is, Spirit nearly lost to Inner Circle, and they’ve since not been properly tested.

Even though Spirit have shown a lot more this season and are rightly the favorites on the betting markets, FaZe Clan are underestimated at these numbers. FaZe to take a map at $1.83 is hard to pass on.
