GamerLegion, 3DMAX and Gentle Mates advance to Stage 2 at ESL Pro League S22 with clutch wins, while ENCE, B8 and Legacy drop to the 2-2 pool on the final day.

GamerLegion, 3DMAX, and Gentle Mates all punched their tickets to ESL Pro League S22 Stage 2 with statement series wins on Wednesday.

GamerLegion set the tone in a clean 2-0 sweep over B8, never letting the Ukrainian Counter-Strike 2 settle.
On B8’s map pick of Ancient, GL flipped the script with a muscular 7-5 terrorist half, converted the pistol, and strung together three more to surge to 11-5 before closing the map 13-9.
Inferno was tougher, as B8’s retakes powered an 8-4 lead at the break, but GL refused to blink.
Sebastian “Tauson” Tauson anchored the defense as GL won the fourth straight pistol of the series and, from 9-11 down, rattled off the last four to steal it 13-11 and avoid a Dust2 decider.
The sweep gives GL a breather before Stage 2 begins on October 4, while B8 drop into the 2-2 pool for a last-chance series.

3DMAX joined them after outlasting ENCE 2-1 (Dust2 11-13, Nuke 13-5, Ancient 16-14).
ENCE struck first on Dust2 behind a 1.49 rating from Rigon “rigoN” Gashi, but 3DMAX slammed the door on Nuke with a flawless counter-terrorist half and a 2.03 rating from Pierre “Ex3rcice” Bulinge.
Ancient delivered chaos—6-6 at the half, back-and-forth late, and decided in extra rounds where clutches and a few missteps swung momentum.
When the dust settled, 3DMAX won the final map 16-14 and claimed the series, consigning ENCE to a do-or-die clash in the 2-2 bracket.

Gentle Mates rounded out the day’s qualifiers by dispatching Legacy 2-0 (Ancient 13–11, Mirage 13–4).
A polished terrorist side carried them early on Ancient, and even when Bruno “latto” Rebelatto sparked a Legacy push, Gentle Mates steadied to close in regulation.
However, Mirage was a romp.
A dominant counter-terrorist half from Gentle Mates, followed by an early-half ace from Alejandro “alex” Masanet off a force buy, put the result beyond doubt.
The win keeps their Major hopes alive—though results in Stage 2 (running through October 9) won’t count toward the October 6 invite cut-off, leaving their Major destiny partially out of their hands.
Legacy, meanwhile, are through to the 2–2 pool—one series from survival, one loss from the exit.
Three decider series remain in Stage 1, with G2 set to clash with ENCE in the first best-of-three series, followed by Astralis vs Legacy and FURIA Esports meeting B8 in the final match.
