EWCF confirms the Esports Nations Cup for November in Riyadh, naming Mobile Legends as the first title with 32 teams and a $1.5M prize. Format and more inside.

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced additional details about the inaugural Esports Nations Cup, including Mobile Legends as the first confirmed title.
Esports Nations Cup, scheduled for November, is a new international esports tournament set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The event is organized by the EWCF and, unlike the Esports World Cup, will be a biennial tournament, welcoming national teams competing across 16 titles.
Seven game publishers have been confirmed for the event so far. Those include Moonton Games, Ubisoft, Tencent, Krafton, Electronic Arts, Moonton Games, SNK, and Chess.com.
While the tournament organizers have not named all esports games with the initial announcement of the founding publishers, Sunday’s post on X revealed Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as the first, and so far, the only officially confirmed game.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event at the Esports Nations Cup is confirmed to kick off in November. It will feature 32 national teams and offer a US$1,500,000 prize pool.
Of the 32, the top 16 national teams will receive direct invites to the event based on the global rankings on August 2. Regional qualifier winners will fill in the remaining 16 slots.
The MLBB ENC event will kick off with a group stage, followed by a single-elimination bracket, leading to a best-of-seven grand final on November 29.
With Mobile Legends: Bang Bang confirmed, 15 other games still have to be announced.
While there is no official news about which esports games will be added to the list, the presence of publishers gives a rough idea of which those might be.
Krafton’ PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is likely going to join the ENC, as will Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six. EA’s presence suggests the addition of Apex Legends, whereas SNK’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves could be included as well.
Chess.com, which joined the Esports World Cup in 2025, has only one game to offer, effectively confirming that chess is returning to the esports world this November.
Riot Games is not listed as a publisher, which raises questions about the potential addition of VALORANT, League of Legends, 2XKO, or Teamfight Tactics, even though all but the new fighting game have been staples of the Esports World Cup.
More information about the Esports Nations Cup should become available in the coming weeks, with esports bookmakers likely opening outright markets at the start of November.
