DRX have announced changes to their VALORANT roster, promoting Yoon “Flicker” Tae-hee and Cho “Flashback” Min-hyuk to the main lineup.

The DRX Prospects duo are expected to remain on the first-string squad throughout the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) and into VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific Stage 2, effectively expanding DRX’s roster to seven players for the rest of the season.

This marks the return of Flashback to the primary lineup for the first time since April, when he took a leave of absence.

Meanwhile, Flicker will get to experience Tier 1 competition for the first time in his career, having been involved in the professional scene for just four months.

The announcement comes just a day before DRX’s first match of the VALORANT Esports World Cup tournament, where they have been seeded into Group B alongside Sentinels, BBL Esports, and XLG Esports.

It will mark DRX’s third international event of 2025, after finishing Masters Bangkok in fifth-sixth and the Asian Champions League in first place.

While fielding an extended roster adds a lot of flexibility, the outright markets have not reacted to the news.

DRX have retained their tag as +1200 underdogs to claim the VALORANT EWC trophy on the top esports betting sites, tied with NRG and Team Heretics.

Despite being given just 7.7% implied probability of winning the Esports World Cup, DRX are expected to reach the next stage of the competition.

They are priced at +175 with BetOnline to win Group B, behind Sentinels (+120) and ahead of BBL Esports (+350) and XLG Esports (+1400).

DRX will debut their new roster on Tuesday, July 8, when they face off against XLG Esports in the first round of the group stage.
