The 2025 CS Asia Championships get underway in Shanghai on October 14 with a huge slate of eight Counter-Strike matchups.

FaZe Clan were triumphant when the event was last run, back in 2023, and they head to China as +250 favorites to defend their crown.

Neither of these sides head to China in great form. Virtus.pro have missed the top eight in each of their three events since reaching the BLAST Bounty Fall quarterfinals in August, while Legacy ran 12th-14th at FISSURE Playground #2 and 17th-19th in ESL Pro League Season 22.

Esports bookmakers have this one pegged as a coin flip, but Legacy’s recent record in top-tier events is nowhere near good enough to suggest they should be ranked on par with an established outfit like VP.

Results over the course of the year suggest GamerLegion should be the stronger side, but Liquid’s recent form — which includes convincing wins over FaZe Clan and TYLOO — makes them deserving favorites with CS2 betting sites.
