This is an interesting match that has some bad blood. It involves José “ReeaL” Fernández, who stirred a lot of offseason drama as it was uncertain whether he would stay with Miami Heretics or leave for Toronto, eventually deciding to do the latter.
With two Spanish teams going at each other, the first match of the day promises fireworks; however, there are reasons to believe Toronto KOI are more likely to come out on top. This is reflected in the betting markets, which give Toronto a 66.7% implied probability of winning.
That is mainly because Toronto KOI have had a chance to get in some practice this offseason, while Heretics had vias issues. Even though Toronto have not accomplished much in the pre-season, they are at least warmed up and have built some synergy with the new roster.

Paris Gentle Mates played very well last weekend, winning Kaysan’s Showdown VIII. Vancouver Surge, on the other hand, have not looked great in any of the game modes.
Even though judging a team on a few pre-season games is unfair, the Surge have not shown anything inspiring ahead of the start of the 2026 season. Now they are up against what is widely considered the third-best team in the league who are also in excellent shape.
Anything less than a 3-0 sweep will be a major disappointment for the Paris Gentle Mates.

G2 Minnesota had a solid showing during the Invitational tournament, but the same can be said for Cloud9 New York. So, it is fair to question whether the top CoD betting sites have priced G2 correctly as firm favorites.
Admittedly, Cloud9 New York lost to G2 Minnesota during the Monster Launch Invitational, but they have looked cleaner in other matches. But past results aside, Cloud9 New York field a roster with a higher ceiling, namely Marcus “Afro” Reid, who can be the X factor for this team.
This is a competitive match in the making and one that can easily go either way. At plus money, we’re taking Cloud9 New York.
