BetBoom Team announced the benching of Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin and Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov on Tuesday, a week after the Russian Counter-Strike 2 team’s eighth-place finish at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 European RMR A.

BB missed out on a ticket to Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 following a reverse-sweep loss against GamerLegion in the seventh-place decider, marking their second major disappointment of the year.
Led by nafany, the squad already missed PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 with a fourth-sixth finish in the European RMR decider in February.
BetBoom Team have shown some signs of life this year, winning four trophies, albeit only in B-Tier events, including CCT Season 2 European Series #8 and #12 and YaLLa Compass Fall 2024.
Nafany’s departure ends the Russian in-game leader’s 16-month stay with the team that he and Kair0N- joined in July 2023 as part of the inaugural roster.
Since putting together their first lineup, BetBoom Team have made just one roster change, in March, when they replaced Danil “danistzz” Roslyakov with Kirill “Magnojez” Rodnov.
With nafany and KaiR0N- leaving, Pavel “s1ren” Ogloblin and Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko are the only remaining members from the original lineup.
Nafany announced his departure in an X post, where he revealed he is looking for opportunities as an in-game leader.
KaiR0N-, like his teammate, stated he is looking for a new team and will focus on streaming on Twitch until a new opportunity presents itself.
